Telephone calls have been made to a member of the public claiming to be from 'Zebra Solicitors Limited'.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been advised that telephone calls have been made to a member of the public from '0771 865 8052' and the caller is purporting to be from 'Zebra Solicitors Limited' offering help with recovering losses from fraudulent online cryptocurrency investment.

Any business or transaction through '0771 865 8052' claiming to be from 'Zebra Solicitors Limited' is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Zebra Law Ltd (SRA ID 8003681) The genuine firm's telephone number is 0161 605 6030 and their email domain is @zebra.law

The genuine firm of Zebra Law Ltd has confirmed that they do not have any connection to the telephone calls described in the alert.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary.
